Adventa is committed to implementing an environmental management system to control our environmental responsibilities effectively, where materials are sustainably sourced, packed and supplied.
Solar Panels
We have 396 Solar Panels that produce up to 100KW of energy, on an average month this produces just over 20% of our total power requirement.
Water
We now use a closed loop water system for production, therefore our production water usage is now close to zero.
Shipping
When we do ship from overseas we do consolidated shipments only
In house recycling
2 top selling lines have 13% and 17% respectively of recycled content recycled inline automatically
Packaging
All our outer packaging we only use paper packing and also we re-use waste packaging rather than sending to landfill
Glass
All glass comes in wooden crates instead of in boxes, this reduces the amount of boxes that are not reusable.
FSC certified
90% of all boxes are FSC certified
Card waste
We recycle on average 10 tons of card waste per year

Raw Materials inbound packaging – both card and plastic sacks and wrap are baled for recycling

Movement sensitive LED lighting in warehouse
Rewilding
3 acres of our site is left for rewilding, in our woodland area we see lots of wildlife including Woodpeckers, Jays, Pheasants and many more
Our plans for the future
- Produce Green Ethical Audits with suppliers
- Improving stock forecasting to reduce the frequencies of stock ordering and shipments
- Avoid flying raw materials wherever possible
- Research ways to reduce the level of packaging used wherever possible
- Increasing the amount of recycled packaging and packaging made from sustainable sources or recycled content
- We’re also working to be able to report on how much recycled content is used in our product range per item
- Striving for new ways of doing things, for example we're changing the inner plastic divider sheets for our baubles to a new biodegradable sheet
