The personal data we may hold about you primarily falls into two categories: personal data collected from you during your use of our website, www.adventa.com (Website) and personal data collected during the course of any business relationship we have with you or your employer/business.

· Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC), or similar companies, who may store our mailing databases and send communications on our behalf.
· Any marketing and website agencies or freelancers we may engage from time to time who may in turn use Mailchimp to send communications on our behalf as mentioned above.
· Our product delivery agents.
· Our payment processors and credit reference agencies.
· Our professional advisers, including lawyers, accountants and insurers, as required by them from time to time to enable them to effectively advise us.
· Any company within our group of companies (but we will not transfer any personal data we collect from individuals within the European Economic Area to any destination outside of the European Economic Area).
We may also disclose your personal data to third parties where required:
• In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
• If Adventa or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.
• If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms & Conditions and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Adventa, our customers, or others.
• To HM Revenue & Customs, regulatory and other authorities who require this information for any purpose.
We may exchange information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction. If we search your record at the credit reference agencies, they will add to your record details of our search and your application for credit and this will be seen by other organizations that make searches. Information held about you by the credit reference agencies may already be linked to records relating to one or more of your partners. For the purposes of this application you may be treated as financially linked and your application will be assessed with reference to "associated" records.
If you are a joint applicant or if you have told us of some other financial association with another person, you must be sure that you are entitled to:
1. disclose information about your joint applicant and anyone referred to by you;
2. authorise us to search, link or record information at credit reference agencies about you or anyone referred by you.
An "association" between joint applicants and between you and anyone you tell us is your financial partner will be created at credit reference agencies. This will link your financial records, each of which will be taken into account in all future applications by either or both of you. This will continue until one of you successfully filesa disassociation at credit reference agencies.
We may use a credit scoring system when assessing your application.
We may also add to your record with the credit reference agencies details of your registration with us, the orders you make and any payments you make under them and any default or failure to keep to the Terms & Conditions. It is important that you give us accurate information. We will check your details with fraud prevention agencies and if you give us false or inaccurate information and we suspect fraud, we will record this.
These records will be shared with other organisations and used by us and them to help make decisions about credit and credit related services such as insurance for you and members of your household.
For these purposes we or they may make further searches. Although these searches will be added to your record, they will not be shared with others.
Please contact us if you want to have details of those credit reference and fraud prevention agencies from whom we obtain and to whom we pass information about you. You have a legal right to these details.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Mailchimp (referred to above) is located in the United States. Mailchimp participates in and has certified its compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and is committed to protecting your personal information.
Other than as specified in this privacy policy we do not transfer any personal data we collect from individuals within the European Economic Area to any destination outside of the European Economic Area.
HOW LONG WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.
By law, we have to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they cease being customers for text purposes.

In some circumstances, we may anonymise your personal data (so that is can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.
EMAIL MARKETING
Where we send you email marketing communications as a sole trader or partnership customer on the lawful basis of “consent” (please refer to the above table), you are able to withdraw your consent to such processing at any time by either contacting us at [email protected] or by following the “opt-out/unsubscribe” option in any email marketing communication sent to you.
Where we send you email marketing communications as a corporate entity customer on the lawful basis of our legitimate interests (please refer to table above) we will send you these marketing communications by email unless you tell us that you do not want to continue receiving these messages by contacting us at [email protected] or by following the “opt out/unsubscribe” option in any marketing communications we send to you.
YOUR RIGHTS.
You have rights under data protection laws in relation to the personal data we hold about you, including the following:
